Self catering Holiday accommodation on the Isle of Mull

Penmore Mill – historic 19th century stone built mill caringly converted to a comfortable 4 bedroom dwelling for up to 9 persons.

The 4 star accommodation comprises of : ground floor:- Sitting room, kitchen/dining area, 1 double bedded room, WC/shower room. 1st floor – 1 family room (single and double bed), 1 twin bedded room, 1 room with bunk beds, bathroom/WC/shower. Decked patio dining area.

Equipment includes:- TV/DVD player, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave. Bedding, towels etc supplied. Under floor heating. Electricity included in rent. Plenty parking. Rated 4 star by Visit Scotland. Green Tourism Silver award. We advocate environmentally friendly practice :- e.g. :- recycling, use of biodegradable products, energy efficient lighting.

Sheltered rural situation within easy reach of the renowned white sands of Calgary beach to the West, a few minutes drive from the small but perfectly formed village of Dervaig. Twenty minutes more to the beautiful ( and now much televised) harbour town of Tobermory.

Other perks :- freedom to roam on our 116 acres of croft which includes open, wooded and wetland habitat for a surprising variety of wildlife. A short walk up to the march wall rewards you with views of The Small Isles, Adnamurchan Lighthouse and the Cuillin of Skye on a clear day. Mull is ideal for active outdoor enthusiasts. Hillwalking, coastal exploration, seatrips, birdwatching, organized safari expeditions etc. Mull has two 9 hole golf courses, the views from the Tobermory course being most spectacular – and apparently the golf is not bad either! Fresh water loch and river fishing is popular. Sea fishing is available from Tobermory. We are happy to provide information literature and advice about any activities you might have in mind.

Fourth generation of the gaelic speaking Morrison Clan living at Penmore – we go back to the 17th century on Mull – also run the long established seabird and wildlife cruise operation, Turus Mara.
Puffins, Fingal’s Cave, Seals, wonderful scenery to be enjoyed from the safety of reliable MCA approved boats and highly experienced crews with a font of local knowledge. Those staying at the Mill are eligible for a 25% reduction in the price of our daily trips to the Treshnish Isles, Staffa and Iona.
